Responsibilities:
- Interpret and comprehend design plans, blueprints, or specifications for signage projects.
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials (wood, metal, plastic, etc.) to create sign structures and components according to design requirements.
- Operate woodworking machinery, hand tools, and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Apply various carpentry techniques, such as joinery, routing, sanding, painting, and finishing, to create high-quality signs.
- Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure accurate translation of design concepts into finished products.
- Install signs at designated locations, ensuring proper alignment, anchoring, and secure mounting according to safety standards.
- Conduct inspections and maintenance of existing signage, repairing or replacing damaged components as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Carpenter specializing in sign-making or a similar field.
- Proficiency in woodworking techniques, including cutting, shaping, routing, and finishing.
- Strong knowledge of carpentry tools and equipment, both hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, designs, and technical drawings.
- Attention to detail and a focus on producing high-quality, precise work.
- Physical stamina and ability to work at heights, lift heavy materials, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record may be required for installation duties.
