Responsibilities:
- Operate and control overhead cranes to lift, move, position, and place materials or objects with precision and safety.
- Conduct pre-operational inspections of the crane equipment to ensure it is in proper working condition and report any defects or issues.
- Safely maneuver loads using appropriate lifting techniques, load charts, and safety protocols.
- Follow strict safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents or injuries during crane operations.
- Coordinate movements with ground personnel or other crane operators using communication devices or hand signals.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks and keep accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance schedules.
- Adhere to company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards at all times.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an overhead crane operator or similar role with demonstrated expertise in operating overhead cranes safely and efficiently.
- Certification or training in crane operation from a recognized institution is preferred.
- Excellent understanding of crane operation techniques, load charts, and safety protocols.
- Strong attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and depth perception.
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions and physical stamina to handle the demands of the job.
- Commitment to safety, teamwork, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
