Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support with personal hygiene, including bathing, grooming, and toileting.
- Assist clients with mobility, transferring, and positioning as necessary.
- Support in meal preparation, planning, and feeding based on dietary requirements.
- Offer medication reminders and assist with medication administration as per guidelines.
- Engage in light housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing living spaces.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments or community outings as needed.
- Provide companionship, social interaction, and emotional support to clients.
- Monitor and report changes in the client’s condition or behavior to the designated supervisor.
- Adhere to care plans and respect the privacy and dignity of clients at all times.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of services provided and client interactions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in healthcare or related field is a plus.
- Proven experience as a caregiver or home support worker is preferred.
- Empathy, patience, and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong communication and observational abilities.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently while maintaining professionalism.
- Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR is an advantage.
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation may be required.
