Responsibilities:
- Measure, cut, and install drywall panels to fit specific dimensions, ensuring accuracy and alignment.
- Secure drywall panels to studs or joists using appropriate fasteners and tools.
- Tape and apply joint compound to seams and joints between drywall panels, ensuring a seamless finish.
- Smooth and sand surfaces to remove imperfections, creating a level and smooth surface.
- Repair or replace damaged drywall sections as needed.
- Apply texture or decorative finishes to drywall surfaces as per project requirements.
- Follow safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Drywall Installer and Finisher or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools specific to drywall installation (e.g., tape measure, utility knife, drywall saw, screw gun, trowel, sander).
- Strong knowledge of drywall installation techniques, finishing methods, and materials.
- Attention to detail, precision in measurements, and ability to achieve a smooth finish.
- Physical stamina and the ability to work in various environmental conditions.

Tasks
- Apply, level and smooth coats of plaster
- Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
- Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife
- Finish corners and angles and create decorative designs in finish coat, if required
- Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets
- Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry
- Tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound
- Install corner beads and wire mesh around beams to which plaster is to be applied
- Install exterior and interior steel studs
- Install metal stud framing and furring for interior drywall or plaster walls and ceilings, using hand and power tools
- Prepare wall and ceiling layouts
- Estimate costs and materials
- Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications
- Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages
