We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Care Aide to join our team and provide exceptional care to our residents. The Registered Care Aide will work under the direction and supervision of healthcare professionals to support residents with their daily living activities and ensure their overall well-being.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Provide mobility assistance, including transferring residents from beds to wheelchairs or other areas within the facility.
  • Monitor residents’ health status and report any changes or concerns to the nursing staff or healthcare professionals.
  • Administer medications and perform basic medical tasks under the guidance and supervision of licensed healthcare professionals.
  • Support residents during meal times, ensuring dietary needs are met, and assist with feeding when necessary.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents by performing light housekeeping duties.
  • Foster a supportive and caring atmosphere by providing emotional support and companionship to residents.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of care provided, observations, and any incidents or changes in residents’ conditions.

Requirements:

  • Completion of a recognized Care Aide program or relevant healthcare certification.
  • Valid registration with the appropriate regulatory body.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a healthcare or residential care setting is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Compassionate and empathetic nature with a commitment to delivering high-quality care to residents.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and adhere to ethical standards.
  • Physical capability to assist residents with mobility and perform care duties as required.
