Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide mobility assistance, including transferring residents from beds to wheelchairs or other areas within the facility.
- Monitor residents’ health status and report any changes or concerns to the nursing staff or healthcare professionals.
- Administer medications and perform basic medical tasks under the guidance and supervision of licensed healthcare professionals.
- Support residents during meal times, ensuring dietary needs are met, and assist with feeding when necessary.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Foster a supportive and caring atmosphere by providing emotional support and companionship to residents.
- Document and maintain accurate records of care provided, observations, and any incidents or changes in residents’ conditions.
Requirements:
- Completion of a recognized Care Aide program or relevant healthcare certification.
- Valid registration with the appropriate regulatory body.
- Previous experience in a similar role within a healthcare or residential care setting is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Compassionate and empathetic nature with a commitment to delivering high-quality care to residents.
- Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and adhere to ethical standards.
