Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and manage construction projects from initiation to completion.
- Develop project plans, budgets, and schedules, and monitor progress throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project milestones are met.
- Manage project resources, including manpower, materials, and equipment procurement.
- Oversee construction site operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections, resolve issues, and address any changes or modifications needed.
- Prepare and present project reports, including progress updates and financial status, to stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively with project team members, clients, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience (X years) working as a Construction Project Manager or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, regulations, and safety protocols.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.

Tasks
- Prepare and submit construction project budget estimates
- Recruit, hire and supervise staff and/or volunteers
- Hire and supervise activities of subcontractors
- Plan and prepare construction schedules and milestones and monitor progress
- Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements
- Establish and implement policies and procedures for quality control
- Operate CADD and other computer software systems
- Read blueprint, schemas and drawings
- Select trade subcontractors and co-ordinate their activities
- Plan and manage budgets
- Direct the purchase of building materials and land acquisitions
- Develop and implement quality control programs
- Oversee the analysis of data and information
- Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations
- Prepare reports
- Develop risk management plans
