As a Construction Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing construction projects while ensuring they are completed within budget, on schedule, and in compliance with safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and manage construction projects from initiation to completion.
  • Develop project plans, budgets, and schedules, and monitor progress throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Manage project resources, including manpower, materials, and equipment procurement.
  • Oversee construction site operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, resolve issues, and address any changes or modifications needed.
  • Prepare and present project reports, including progress updates and financial status, to stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively with project team members, clients, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (X years) working as a Construction Project Manager or in a similar role within the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, regulations, and safety protocols.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.

Tasks

  • Prepare and submit construction project budget estimates
  • Recruit, hire and supervise staff and/or volunteers
  • Hire and supervise activities of subcontractors
  • Plan and prepare construction schedules and milestones and monitor progress
  • Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements
  • Establish and implement policies and procedures for quality control
  • Operate CADD and other computer software systems
  • Read blueprint, schemas and drawings
  • Select trade subcontractors and co-ordinate their activities
  • Plan and manage budgets
  • Direct the purchase of building materials and land acquisitions
  • Develop and implement quality control programs
  • Oversee the analysis of data and information
  • Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations
  • Prepare reports
  • Develop risk management plans
