Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostic tests to identify vehicle issues and determine necessary repairs.
- Perform mechanical repairs and maintenance tasks, including engine repairs, brake system maintenance, steering and suspension repairs, and other mechanical services.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems.
- Replace or repair defective parts, components, or systems using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, services performed, and parts used.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and follow proper procedures for handling hazardous materials.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle issues, repair options, and estimated costs.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and repair diagrams.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to work in various positions and lift heavy objects.
- Relevant certification or completion of an automotive technology program is preferred.
