Responsibilities:
- Oversee the recruitment process, including job postings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and facilitating the onboarding process for new hires.
- Administer employee benefits programs, manage employee relations, and assist in resolving employee issues or concerns.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations and confidentiality.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and initiatives in alignment with organizational goals.
- Conduct performance management processes, assist with employee evaluations, and support professional development plans.
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters, policies, and procedures.
- Stay updated on employment laws and regulations, ensuring the organization’s compliance and making necessary adjustments to policies.
- Contribute to HR projects, initiatives, and process improvements aimed at enhancing the employee experience.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; additional HR certifications or coursework is advantageous.
- Proven experience as an HR Specialist or similar role, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of HR principles, practices, and regulations.
- Strong knowledge of HRIS software, MS Office Suite, and familiarity with HR-related laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.

- Plan, develop, implement and evaluate human resources policies and programs
- Advise managers and employees on the interpretation of human resources policies, benefit programs and collective agreements
- Negotiate collective agreements on behalf of employers or workers
- Mediate labour disputes and grievances
- Research and prepare occupational classifications, job descriptions and salary scales
- Administer benefit employment equity and other human resources programs
- Co-ordinate employee performance and appraisal programs
- Research employee benefits and health and safety practices and recommend changes
- Hire, train and supervise staff
- Propose improvements to methods, systems and procedures
- Oversee the classification and rating of occupations
- Manage training and development strategies
- Establish and implement policies and procedures
- Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations
